Kirkland Urban’s WinterFest brought downtown Kirkland to life with festive cheer, community spirit, and plenty of seasonal fun. Families and friends gathered on the plaza as it transformed into a cozy winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, holiday décor, and cheerful music that set the tone for the evening.

One of the biggest highlights was the chance to meet Santa, delighting kids and parents alike! Live ice sculpting drew crowds as our artist turned massive blocks of ice into sparkling works of art, while playful snowfall effects added a magical touch to the night. Younger guests enjoyed holiday crafts, balloon art, and special character appearances. The surprise visit from friendly alpacas was a memorable crowd favorite!

Warm treats like complimentary s’mores helped everyone stay cozy, and the plaza buzzed with laughter and conversation throughout the evening. As the celebration continued, folks made their way to nearby Peter Kirk Park for the annual tree lighting to officially usher in the holiday season.

WinterFest perfectly captured the joy, warmth, and sense of togetherness that make the holidays at Kirkland Urban so special!

Keep the holiday magic alive! Downtown Kirkland’s festive outdoor ice skating rink is open through January 11. Park at Kirkland Urban, get in those final spins of the season on the ice, and cool down with a pint at Chainline Brewing or warm up with pho from Vinason to score your free four-hour parking validation. And don’t forget the last-minute holiday shopping!
